Rapace has one sister, Saerun Noren, who is a photographer. Rapace’s mother, Nina Noren, was an actress from Sweden. Rapace’s father was a cantador from Spain. Noomi Rapace was raised by her mother and stepfather in Iceland. Noomi Noren married Ola Rapace, a Swedish actor, in 2001. The couple filed for divorce in September of 2010, and was legally divorced in 2011. Noomi kept her married name. She stated that she gave so much of herself to Lisbeth Salander, that after the role, she did not know who she was.
