Farley had three brothers and one sister. One of his brothers, Tom Jr., co-wrote the authorized biography about Farley’s life after died of a drug overdose in 1997 called The Chris Farley. This was in reference to one of his SNL sketches in which he would interview celebrities in an awkward manner.
Before his death, there were a number of unfinished projects he had been working on. The Dreamworks animated hit Shrek was originally intended to be for Farley and he had supposedly finished close to 80% of the voice work. He was also planning to do a film based on Matt Foley, another SNL character. He was also in line to star in a biopic about comedy legend Fatty Arbuckle.
