1945 – Married her first husband, Dick Barker.

1947 – Married her second husband, Lane Allen.

1949 – She began her career in show biz as ‘girl Friday’ for the almost legendary Al Jarvis on Los Angeles’ KLAC.

1952 – When Jarvis quit the station, she took over as host.

         – She formed a production company; and created the sitcom Life With Elizabeth, starring White and Del Moore, and making White one of the first female TV producers.

1963 – It was on the game show Password that White met the gentlemanly Allen Ludden. They were married on June 14th, making her the stepmother to his four children.

1973 – She was one of the cast of the television show, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" as Sue Ann Nivens.

1983-1993 – She starred in the television hits like "Mama’s Family" as Ellen Jackson, "The Golden Girls" as Rose Nylund, "Another World" as Brenda Barlowe, "The Golden Palace" as Rose Nylund and "Bob" as Sylvia Schmidt.

1974 – She continues to appear on TV, but White is perhaps better known now as an animals’ advocate. She has served on the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association Board.

1995 – Her autobiography, "Here We Go Again: My Life in Television" was published.

1999 – She was the endorser of Arby’s.

         – She appeared in the television series, "Ladies Man" as Mitzi Stiles and in the films, "The Story of Us" and "Lake Placid".

2003 – She was one of the cast of the films, "Stealing Christmas", "Bringing Down the House" and "Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt".
