1941 – Born January 13,  the 127th President of Generalitat de Catalunya (the government of the Spanish Autonomous Region of Catalonia). 

1957-1964 – Studied Law and Economics at the University of Barcelona.

1973 – Taught urban economics and international economics as an assistant lecturer. 

1979 – He joined the Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya (Socialist Party of Catalonia).

1982-1997 – He ran his country’s bid to the Olympics and was also the mayor of Barcelona during these years.
