1947 – She was born on the 18th day of October this year.


1971 – She released an album “Gonna Take a Miracle”  of her favorite "teenage heartbeat songs" with Labelle (Patti Labelle, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash) providing vocal harmonies.


1977 the Nine cricket rights deal led to a confrontation with the cricket authorities, as top players from several countries rushed to join him at the expense of their international sides.


1976 – She returned with an album of new material called "Smile".


1989 – Her low profile of this period was raised somewhat in 1989 with the release of Laura: Live at the Bottom Line, a recent, live recording which marked the beginning of a renewed series of live appearances. On this recording, Nyro sounds fresh and revitalized.


1993 – Her next release was Walk the Dog and Light the Light (1993), her first studio album in years, and her last for Columbia, co-produced by Gary Katz of Steely Dan production fame.


1994 – This year, she made a goodbye in the music industry. After being diagnosed with cancer, she lived to see the release Stoned Soul Picnic: The Best of Laura Nyro .


1997 – She died of ovarian cancer on the 8th day of April this year in Danbury, Connecticut. She was at the age of 49 the same age when her mother died with the same disease.
