1579 – Born on October in Madrid.

1600 – He studied at the Alcalá de Henares, joined the Order of Mercy on the 4th of November.

1601 – Entered the Monastery of San Antolín at Guadalajara, Spain on the 21st of January.

1615 – He had been writing plays for ten years when he was sent by his superiors on a mission to the West Indies.

1617 – Returning to Europe.

1626 – He had not lost his interest in the theatre, and published twelve representative pieces as the first part of his dramatic works.

         – He became superior of the monastery at Trujillo.

1632 – In May, he was appointed chronicler of the Order of Mercy.

1635 – His Deleitar aprovechando is a devout counterpart of the Cigarrales de Toledo, much inferior to its predecessor in interest.

1639 – He compiled the elaborate Historia de la merced, which occupied him till December 24, and still survives in manuscript.

1645 – On the 29th of September, Tirso de Molina became superior of the monastery at Soría, and died there.

1648 – Died on the 12th of March.
