1930 – He was an internationally recognized New York City photographer born on the 24th day of January this year in Cologne, Germany. He became well known for documenting John F. Kennedy’s successful campaign for the presidency.


1960 – He took approximately 40,000 photographs of John F. Kennedy and his family during the presidential campaign of this year and the Kennedy’s’ first year in the White House.


1995 – He went to Toronto this year, at an Oscar Peterson recording session, where he attended for a magazine piece. He was working on with a quite specific conception. It was to be a portrait book, no performance shots, containing only living musicians. He is a jazz festival lover.


2001 – He died of cancer on the 12th day of May this year in New York City, New York, USA.
