1971 – Born on December 6th in Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.
1989 – Richard Krajicek’s blazing serve and aggressive net play made an almost immediate impact when he joined the ATP tour at age 18.
1991 – Captured his first pro tour title in Hong Kong.
1992 – Made the season-ending ATP Tour Championships (top eight players in the world) and finished in the Top 10 – the first Dutchman to do so since Tom Okker.
1996 – He won the Wimbledon tennis tournament defeating Sampras in the quarterfinal, while only losing on set throughout the entire tournament.
– Was named the 1st Dutch winner of any Grand Slam title.
1999 – Married to Daphne Deckers on July 7th.
– Led the pro tour in aces and service games won.
2000 – Krajicek was elected ATP Tour Comeback Player of the Year and received Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year award for his contributions to youth in The Netherlands.
