1913 – John Von Casper "Jack" Wyrtzen was born to Harry M. and Margaret Isabel Wyrtzen.


1929 – Dropped out of high school to support his family during the Great Depression after his father lost his job.  Jack worked as an insurance salesman by day until 1940.  For extra money, Jack played trombone for a dance band named Silver Moon Serenaders.


1932 – Trusted Christ.


1933 – Jack and his girlfriend Marge dedicated their lives to Christ and His will at Pinebrook Bible Camp.


1936 – On April 18th, Jack and Marge were married.


1940 – Created Word of Life Fellowship out of two groups focused on studying the Word of God.  Soon afterward, Jack used radio to get the message out.  As well, he conducted youth rallies in New York City where thousands got saved.


1941 – Became Director of Word of Life Ministries until 1991.


1947 – Opened the Word of Life Camp in Schroon Lake, NY for young people. 


1971 – Co-founded the Word of Life Bible Institute with Harry Bollback in Pottersville, NY.


1986 – Married Joan Steiner after his first wife Marge died in 1984.


1996 – Died at Glens Falls Hospital.
