1974 – Born on the 23rd of May in Payson Utah. Raised in remote Homer, Alaska.


1980 – She began her music career at the age of six, regularly performing alongside her singer/songwriter parents in local Eskimo villages and tourist attractions.


1993 – She started performing to sparse crowds at a coffeehouse in Pacific Beach called the Inner Change.


1994 – Jewel have written a lot of songs. And on the 28th of July, a sound crew descended on the Inner Change to record 4 sets of Jewel on her home stomping grounds. All the live recordings on Pieces of You come from those two sessions.


1995 – Her first album ‘Pieces of You’ was released on the 28th of February.


1998 – She was chosen to sing the National Anthem at the opening of Super Bowl in January.

          – On November of the same year, her second album ‘Spirit’ was released.


1999 – She released her Holiday Album ‘Joy: A Holiday Collection.’  She also starred in the 1999 Ang Lee film Ride with the Devil.


2001 – Another album ‘This Way’ was released.


2003 – She launched her 0304 album.


2006 – Jewel released her 6th album ‘Goodbye Alice on Wonderland’ on the 2nd of May. The album barely sold 270,000 copies.


2007 – Jewel has released a video for the new song "Quest for Love" as the lead single from the new movie Arthur and the Invisibles.
