1962 – Born on August 5th in Kingston, Jamaica.

1975 – Ewing played cricket and soccer as a youngster in Jamaica before moving to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he first played basketball.

1982 – In his freshman year, Ewing led Georgetown to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship game.

1983-1984 – During the season, the team won the NCAA championship for the first time, and Ewing was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

1985 – Received the Naismith Award.

         – NBA Rookie of the Year for two consecutive years..

1986 – A New York Knicks player.

1990 – Married to Rita Williams on July 27th.

1994  – Ewing went to the NBA Finals for the one and only time, but the Knicks lost to The Houston Rockets.

1997 – Patrick was also elected the President of the Player’s Association for a 4-year term.

1998 – He was the front man for the players during the lockout, eventually working a settlement.

2001 – Transfered to Seattle Super Sonics.

2002 – Joined Orlando Magic.
