1970 – Became the second woman (after Maureen Connolly) to win the grand slam of tennis singles: the British (Wimbledon), U.S., Australian, and French titles in the same year.

1979 – She was enshrined in the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

1991 – She was ordained as a Christian minister and founded the Victory Life Church in Perth, Australia.
