1949 – He finished his B.A. degree at University of Chicago.

1955 – Finished and received his Ph.D. in Committee on Social Thought from the University of Chicago.

         – Became Professor at University of Chicago.

1962 – Served as Professor at Yale University.

1963-1970 – Became Professor at Cornell University.
1979 – Professor in Committee on Social Thought, University of Chicago.

1981 – Wrote "Shakespeare’s Politics" with Harry V. Jaffa.

1987 – Authored the book "The Closing of the American Mind: How Higher Education Has Failed Democracy and Impoverished the Souls of Today’s Students".

1992 – He died on 7th of October of liver failure at Chicago, Illinois.
