1905 – Astrid, Queen of Belgium, Princess Astrid Sofia Lovisa Thyra of Sweden, born on the 17th of November. She was the third daughter of Prince Carl, Duke of Westrogothia, and his wife Princess Ingeborg of Denmark. Astrid was the Queen consort of Léopold III of the Belgians.
1926 – Married Léopold on the 4th of November, and became Queen of Belgium when her father-in-law King Albert I died.
1927 – Daughter, Princess Joséphine-Charlotte, later Grand Duchess of Luxembourg was born.
1930 – Son, King Baudouin I of the Belgians was born.
1934 – Second son, King Albert II of the Belgians was born.
1935 – She and her husband were driving along the winding, narrow roads near their villa at Küssnacht am Rigi, Schwyz, Switzerland on the shores of Lake Lucerne, Léopold lost control of the vehicle and the car plunged down a ravine, killing Queen Astrid on the 29th of August.
