1075 – Adelard was born in Bath, England.

1090 – Studied in Syria and southern Italy.

1120 – Disguised as a Mohammedan student to attend lectures in Cordova, managed to get a copy of Euclid’s Elements which he translated into Latin. He wrote "On Identity and Difference" in the form of letters.
