1946 – Born on the 29th of December in Panama City, Panama.

1966 – Fred W. Hooper, a prominent horseman, and agent Camilo Marin sponsored him to come to the United States and ride under contract with them.

         – Started his American career at the Arlington Park in Chicago and he won eight out of his first eleven races.

1970 – Pincay was voted the George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award.

1971 – United States Champion Jockey by wins and the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey.

1973-1974 – Received the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey.

1975 – Inducted to the National Museum of Racing and Racing Hall of Fame.

1979 – Received the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey.

1982-1984 – Took three consecutive Belmont Stakes.

1984 – He won the Kentucky Derby aboard Swale (horse).

1985 – Received the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Jockey.
