1973 – Born on the 2nd of November in Austin, Texas but grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He was hailed as the best-selling rapper worldwide.


2003 – Together with his sister Jacqueline "Jackie" Donahue who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2001, started a campaign in search for a bone marrow donor but failed.


2000 – His debut album "Country Grammar" hit #1 on the Billboard Top 40.


2001 – The album "Country Grammar" earned him 2 nominations at the Grammy Awards and 3 nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards. He garnered a lot of awards on this year.


2002 – He released his second album " Nellyville" which was a certified triple platinum from the month of its release.
