1876- Kaiserin Zauditu born on April 29 and baptized as Askala Maryam and she was raised as a princess.
1882 – Married to Ras Araya Selassie Yohannes, son and heir of Emperor Yohannis IV at the age of six.
1909 – Expatriated from her country by Lij Iyasu who considered her as a threat to his rule.
1916 – Became the first reigning female monarch of Ethiopia taking the throne from Iyasu.
1930- Suffered from diabetes and died on April 1. But as of today speculations remain as what was the real cause of her death. Historians said that she died because of her husband’s death and some allegedly said Ras Tefari poisoned her.
