Zawadzki, Aleksander
1899- Aleksander Zawadzki was born on December 16.
1931- Expatriated at Union Soviet for having a “subversive activities.” He was a member of Communist Youth Union who went into exile in the Soviet Union.
1939- Returned to Poland after six years of imprisonment before World War II but he got arrested. When he freed from prison, Zawazki eventually joined the Soviet-organized Polish Army and became a general.
1947- He was appointed the new government's representative to the former German territory of Silesia and he was elected to the Sejm.
1952- He was appointed as chairman of the Polish Council of State to replace Boleslaw Bierut.
1964- Aleksander suffered from cancer and died on August 7.
