1913 - Sergei Pavlovich Zalygin was born on the 6th of December 1913 in the village of Durasovka, in the province of Ufa.
1932 - He graduated from the Agricultural Technical Institute in Barnaul, Siberia. Became an Agronomist.
1940 – He wrote some novels and stories that variably evinced readers' interest.
1964 –Started Russian literature. The emergence of such works as "On the Irtysh", "The Commission",
“SaltValley”, "After a Storm", and "South American Version" became a noticeable events in Russia.
1986 – He became an Editor-in-chief of literary journal Novy Mir.
1991 – On the 7th of December 1991, he became an Academician of the Section of Humanities and Social Sciences.
2000- He died on the 19th of April 2000, at the age of 86 in Moscow's Central Clinical Hospital and the cause of his death was not given.
