1858 - Born in Liège, Belgium on the16th of July.

1898 - His career as a teacher, which was to remain one of his main occupations after leaving the conservatory and into even his last years.

         - Ysaye had been offered the post of music director of the New York Philharmonic, but declined it due to his busy solo performance schedule.

1918 - He accepted the music director's position with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

1922 - He remained and with which he made several recordings.

1931 - Died on the 12th of May and was interred in the Ixelles Cemetery in Brussels.
