Alvin was Born on the 13th of December in the valley of the forks of the three wolves, in Tennessee. York was a christain until his father died, then he turened from the lord God and soon became a drinking man. however, at the age of 28, he became a christain. This happened one night, when he was ridding his mule Noah. It was storming and Alvin was soaked tho the bone. Lighting stuck and knocked him off of Noah. He lay in the mud for a minuite, then got up. His riffle was damaged, one of his mule's shoe had come off, and it was elictrified, so he coud'nt touch it. then he heard singing. he followed the sound to the church. there Alvin was converted. when the U.S. joined in World war one , Alvin was drafted into the army. All though York did all he could, he was Forced into the Army. At the battle of the Argonne, when the Ameraican's were pinned Down, York, by Gods Grace and protection, Sharp shot All of the German Machine Nest gunners, and captruered 132 prisoners. when the war was over, Alvin married Graccie Williams, and had seven chilldren. York died,2nd of semtember, 1964.
