Yang, Chih-Yuan(Jerry)
Jerry Chih-Yuan Yang is the Taiwanese American co-founder of Yahoo! Inc.
1968 - Born 6th of November in Taipei, Taiwan.
1978 - Yang moved to San Jose, California with his single mother (Lily) and younger brother (Ken).
Graduated from Piedmont Hills High School, then went on to receive his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical
engineering from Stanford University.
Created controversy based on his public comments regarding Yahoo's role in the imprisonment of reporters in China.
Named to the Stanford Board of Trustees.
1994 - Co-created the Yahoo! Internet navigational guide with David Filo and co-founded Yahoo! Inc.
1995 - Yang married Akiko Yamazaki, a Japanese American raised in Costa Rica.
2006 - His net worth is about US$2.6 billion.
Jerry Yang of Yahoo! rank No.8 of 100 Most Successful Asian Entrepreneurs in America.
