1791 - Born on the 14th of December in Dublin, Ireland.

1817 - “Burial of Sir John Moore”, Commemorating the commander of the British forces at the Battle of Corunna during the Peninsular War, is one of the best known funeral elegies in English.

1871 -Wolfe attended Trinity College, Dublin, was ordained, and held curacies in County Tyrone.

1823 - Died on the 21st of February in Queenstown, County Cork.
