1565 - Robert Wintour was born.

       - He, and his brother Thomas Wintour became of of the group of conspirators who hid barrels of gunpowder beneath the Palace of Westminster.

       - He hid at the house of Humphrey Littleton. After capture, he was taken to London, tried for treason, convicted and executed by hanging, drawing and quartering.

1605 - He was one of the leading members of the Gunpowder Plot to assassinate James I of England and Members of Parliament.

1606 - Died on the 30th of January.
