1765 - William Henry Hanover, born on the 21st of August in Buckingham Palace, London, England. He was the son of King George III and Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. He was so delighted to become king, on the death of his brother George IV, that he drove round London personally greeting his new subjects.
1779 - He had served in the Royal Navy and commanded ships.
1789 - He was made a Rear Admiral, the same year he was created Duke of Clarence.
1811 - He became admiral of the Fleet.
1818 - Married Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen. His two daughters of to Adelaide, died in infancy and his heir was his niece, Victoria.
1830 - 1837 - Reigned as King of England.
1830 - He became king at 65 and his great ambition was to live long enough for Victoria to reach her majority at age 18.
1837 - Died on the 20th of June in Windsor Castle, Berkshire, England due to Heart Failure.
