1950 - Born on October 18th in Brooklyn, New York.

1971 - Attended Mount Holyoke College and City College of New York.

1973 - She wrote Any Woman Can't and Uncommon Woman.

1976 - Received her MFA in Drama from Yale School of  Drama.

1984 - Wrote the plays Isn't It Romantic, The Heidi Chronicles, The Sisters Rosenzweig, and An American Daughter.

1988 - Received a Pulitzer Prize for Drama for The Heidi Chronicles.

1993 - Appeared in the film Life with Mickey.

2006 - Died on January 30th in New York City from lymphoma.
