Wainwright, Richard
1817 - Born in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
1831 - Wainwright was commissioned in the United States Navy on the 11th of May.
1841-1857 - Wainwright served in the Coast Survey and on the Navy's Home Station.
1860 - He cruised in Merrimack on special service.
1861 - On the 25th of April, he performed gallant service in extinguishing a fire on Hartford while continuing the bombardment of the forts.
1862 - Died in New Orleans on the 10th of August.
