1837 - Born on the 24th of December in Bellagio, Italy.

1853 - Her father, Franz Liszt, had introduced her to Richard Wagner.

1863 - She came into frequent contact with Wagner, himself 24 years her senior and still married to Minna Planer.

1869-1883 - She kept a detailed diary of their daily life together, which was later published.

1883-1906 - She directed the Bayreuth Festival from the death of Richard Wagner.

1930 - She died at age 92 at Bayreuth on the 1st of April.
