Wade, Abdoulaye

1926 - Born 29th of May at Kébémer, Senegal.

2000 - He became the third and current President of Senegal.

2001 - He was forced to join with the former ruling party (the Socialist), which held a majority in the

legislature until the Democratic Party's victory in the 2001 parliamentary elections.

- He was one of the most educated current African leaders with a "Doctorat" in Droit (Law) and

Sciences Economics.

2006 - He was nominated as the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party in October.
