Vinson, Carl
1883 - Born on November 18th in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia. Representative from Georgia.
1902 - Attended the Georgia Military College at Milledgeville, and was graduated from Mercer University Law School, Macon, Georgia.
1906 - Was the prosecuting attorney of Baldwin County, Georgia.
1909 - A member of the State house of representatives.
1911 - Served as speaker pro tempore.
1912 - Appointed judge of the county court of Baldwin County.
1914 - He was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Thomas W. Hardwick and re-elected to the Sixty-fourth and to the twenty-four succeeding Congresses.
1949 - The chairman of House Armed Services Committee.
1981 - Died on June 1st in Milledgeville, Georgia.
