1820 - Born in November 11th in Naples, Italy. Vittorio Emanuele Ferdinando Maria Gennaro di Savoia, the son of King Umberto I.
1896 - Married to Helen Petrovic-Njegos of Mentenegro on October 24th.
1900 - Victor Emmanuel came to the throne when his father was assassinated at Monza. He was so small that he was nicknamed the 'dwarf' by Kaiser Wilhelm II.
- Became the King of Italy.
1922 - When Fascists marched on Rome, King Victor Emmanuel III invited Mussolini to form a coalition government.
1936-1939 - Victor Emmanuel was created Emperor of Ethiopia and King of Albania.
1943 - He was faced with an Allied invasion, the king forced Benito Mussolini to resign.
1946 - Victor Emmanuel abdicated in May, but his son was rejected in a referendum and Italy became a republic.
1947 - Died in exile in Alexansria, Egpyt on December 28th.
