1955 - Born on January 26th in Nijmegen, Netherlands. One of the best-known guitarists of the 80s and 90s, Edward Van Halen was spawned in the ancient, Roman-founded city of Nijmegen in Holland.
1974 - Guitarist for rock group Van Halen.
1977 - The band signed a contract with Warner Bros. records.
1978 - Recorded and released their first album, Van Halen on February 10th.
1979-1980 - Released their second and third album.
1981 - Married to Valerie Bertinelli on April 11th.
1984 - Released their last album, "1984".
1999 - He had a hip replacement surgery.
2000 - He was treated for throat cancer.
