Tyler, Anne
1941 – She was born on 25th day of October this year in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
1963 – She married Iranian psychiatrist and novelist Taghi Mohammad Modarressi, with whom she had two daughters, Tezh and Mitra.
1983 – Her ninth novel, Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant, which she considers her best work, was a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award.
1985 – Her novel The Accidental Tourist was awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award this year.
1986 – Her novel The Accidental Tourist was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize this year.
1988 – Her novel The Accidental Tourist was made into a movie starring William Hurt and Geena Davis.
1989 - Her eleventh novel, Breathing Lessons, received the Pulitzer Prize.
1997 – Her husband Modarressi died this year.
