1928 - Born on November 3rd in Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan. Japanese animator and cartoonist.
1935 - Entered Osaka municipal Ikeda elementary school.
1943 - He started to draw using pen and ink and his prolific comic writing starts.
1945 - Entered Osaka University's medical division.
1946 - Received his M.D. from Osaku University but continued to focus on his comic books.
1953 - Moved to Tokiwa-so apartment where many young comic talents from all over Japan found their home in to start their career.
1959 - Married to Etsuko Okada on October 4th and had 3 children.
1961 - Created his first production company under the name Mushi Productions, later changed to Tezuka Productions, which became a springboard for a number of influential animators who were to follow, including Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira).
1963-1964 - "Tetsuwan Atom" starts syndicated as a series on Fuji Television, and following year is broad casted by NBC as "Astro Boy" in United States.
1989 - Died of stomach cancer on February 9th in Tokyo, Japan.
1994 - He became a hallmark in manga and anime history on April 24th. The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum was opened in Takarazuka, in memory of the prolific artist.
