1959 - Kevin Spacey Fowler, born on the 26th of July in South Orange, New Jersey. He is a two-time Academy Award-winning American actor, film and stage, and director.

1977 - Graduated in Chatsworth High School, Chatsworth, California.
 
1991 - He won a Tony for Neil Simon's Lost In Yonkers.

1995 - 1997 - His other film roles include Hollywood-happy detective Jack Vincennes in L.A. Confidential with Kim Basinger and the nasty serial killer John Doe in Seven with Brad Pitt.

1996 - He made his directorial debut with the offbeat crime drama Albino Alligator.

       - It was his second Academy Award; his first came for playing wily con artist 'Verbal' Kint in the gangster mystery The Usual Suspects with Benicio Del Toro.

1999 - Received a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for The Iceman Cometh.
   
       - He was honoured with a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame on the 5th of October at 6801 Hollywood Blvd.

2000 - His Oscar-winning performance as a disaffected suburban husband in American Beauty cemented his reputation as one of Hollywood's most flexible actors. The film was named Best Picture and also won Best Director honors for Sam Mendes.

2003 - He was introduced as the new artistic director of London's venerable Old Vic Theater.

2004 - 2005 - He directed a performance of the play Cloaca by Maria Goos, and performed in productions of National Anthems by Dennis McIntyre, as well in The Philadelphia Story by Philip Barry.

2005 - 2006 - He performed in the title role of Richard II, directed by Trevor Nunn.

2005 - He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by London South Bank University in November.

2006 - He starred in the play A Moon for The Misbegotten along with Colm Meaney; the play received great reviews, "If you only see one play this year, see this one".
