1775 - James Smith was born in London on February 10, 1775.
1795 - Smith was educated at Chigwell School.
1812 - James and his brother Horace produces a literary parody connected to the Drury Lane that was burnt down by fire, which is titled "The Rejected Addresses". He was reputed one of the best talkers in an age when the art was studied. His works are "Country Cousins", "A trip to Paris", "A trip to America".
1839 - James Smith died in London on December 24, 1839.
