1928 - Sharpe was born in London on March 30, 1928.
1948 - Educated at Lancing College and Pembroke College, Cambridge.
1951 - Sharpe finish his National Service in the Marines before going to South Africa, where he did some social work and teaching in Natal.
1957-1961 - Sharpe had a photographic studio in Pietermaritzburg.
1963-1972 - Became a lecturer in History at the Cambridge College of Arts and Technology.
1986 - Sharpe was awarded the XXXIIIeme Grand Prix Humour Noir Xavier Forneret.
