1911 - Born on April 10th in Paris, France. French politician and writer who was the inspirational radio spokesman of Gen. Charles de Gaulle and the French Resistance in broadcasts to Nazi-ruled France from London during World War II.

         - He was a radio broadcaster for Free French during Nazi occupation of France.

1967 - Was the Minister of Scientific Research and Atomic and Space Questions.

1968 - Was the Minister of Social Affairs.

1974 - He later served as a political party leader, foreign minister, and senator, and he became a member of the French Academy.

1977 - He was the vice-president of French Senate.

1998 - Died on February 10th in Paris.
