Schreyer, Edward Richard

1935 - Born on the 21st of December.

1958 - He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba.

1959 - He received Bachelor of Pedagogy degree at University of Manitoba.

1960 - On the 30th of June, he married Lily Schulz.

1962 - He received his Bachelor of Education degree at University of Manitoba.

       - He served as a professor of International Relations at St. Paul's College of the University

             of Manitoba.

1963 - He received his Master of Arts degree and Master of Arts in Economics at University of Manitoba.

1965 - He was elected to the Canadian House of Commons.

1969 - He was elected Leader of the New Democratic Party of Manitoba.

        - He served as a Premier of Manitoba.

1979 - He was appointed Governor General of Canada.

1984 - He resigned as a Governor General of Canada.

1985 - He was appointed as a Canadian High Commissioner to Australia, Papua New Guinea,

              Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

2002 - He was appointed as a Chancellor of Brandon University.
