1975 - He was re-elected as Mayor of Baltimore.
1979 - He was elected for the third time as Mayor of Baltimore.
1983 - He was elected for the fourth time as Mayor of Baltimore.
1986 - He was elected as the 58th Governor of Maryland.
1990 - He was re-elected as a Governor of Maryland.
1998 - He was elected as a Comptroller of Maryland.
