Roberta Lynn Bondar

1968 - earned BSC ( agriculture and zoology , University of Guelph

1974 - earned Phd in neurobiology

1977 - earned medical degree from McMaster University, Hamilton Ontario

1981 she was admitted to the Royal College of Physcians and Surgeons

1983- became Canada's first woman astronaut

January 22, 1992- blasted into space on shuttle Discovery

A reputable photographer and author she is also a well known motivational speaker

She had been awarded the Order of Canada and is a member of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame
