1937 - 1951 - Starred in movies "Brother Rat" (as Dan Crawford in 1938), "Knute Rockne, All American" (as George "the Gipper" Gipp in 1940), "Bedtime for Bonzo" (as Peter Boyd 1951).

 

1947-1952, 1959-1960 - President of Screen Actors Guild.

 

1966 - 1975 - Governor of California.

 

1976 - Candidate for Republican presidential nomination.

 

1981 - 1989 - 40th president of US.

 

1981 - Survived assassination attempt by John Hinckley Jr.

 

         - Promoted supply-side economics and pursued policy of federal tax reduction, higher interest rates, and deficit spending.

 

1983 - Sent US troops to protect Americans and oust Marxist regime in Grenada

 

1985 - 1986 - Met with Mikhail Gorbachev at arms summits in Geneva and Reykjavik with Mikhail Gorbachev, signed Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty 1987.
