1819 - Born on October 31st in Ames, New York. American lawyer and politician.

1840 - Studied and practiced law.

1855 - Was elected to the state assembly.

1858-1860 - Wisconsin Governor and Waukesha Resident Alexander Randall presided over the formal grand opening of the Waukesha House of Refuge.

1861 - Appointed as United States Minister to the Vatican.

1866 - Was the United States Postmaster General.

1872 - Died on July 26th.
