1951 – He was born on the 19th of May this year in Forest Hills, Queens, of Jewish heritage. He and future band mates attended Forest Hills High School.
1994 – He formed Sibling Rivalry with his brother Mickey Leigh. They had one release, the In a Family Way EP.
1996 – He retired this year with his band mate Johnny Ramone.
2001 – He died on the 15th day of April this year during U2’s Elevation Tour.
2002 – He won "Best Pop/Rock Album of the Year" at the 2002 Native American Music Awards. And also his solo album “Don't Worry About Me” was released posthumously in this year.
