Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa (Ramakrishna)

1836 - Born in the village of Kamarpukur, on the 18th of February.

1855  - He became a devotee of the goddess Kali and lived for the rest of his life at her temple in Dakshineswar outside Calcutta.

         - He developed throat cancer and attained Mahasamadhi at a garden house in Cossipore on 16th August, leaving behind a devoted band of 16 young disciples headed by Swami Vivekananda,

1886 - Died on the 16th of August.
