1957 - Theo van Gogh, born on the 23rd of July in The Hague, Wassenaar, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. He was a descendant of Theo van Gogh, the brother of painter Vincent van Gogh. A Dutch filmmaker that seemed to specialize in the controversial, though none of his films are widely viewed outside the Netherlands.

1994 - One of his film, 1-900, is a pretentious attempt to turn phone sex into art. It rather fails.

2003 - A better example of his work is Interview.

       - He was also a staunch supporter of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, although he revised his stance to a more neutral one.

2004 - He was murdered by Mohammed Bouyeri on the 2nd of November in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
