Zirkel, Ferdinand

1838 – He was born on the 20th day of March at Bonn. 

1861 – He was educated in his native town, and graduated Ph.D. at the university.

1863 – He became professor of geology in Vienna, but in early years he was engaged in teaching geology and mineralogy.

1868 – He became a professor in the University of Lemberg.

1870 – He was made professor of mineralogy and geology in the University of Leipzig. He wrote numerous papers and essays during his time.

1912 – On the 12th day of June this year he died.
