Zhang Zuolin
1873 - A Chinese warlord was born
1911 - He rose from enlisted soldier to become military governor of his native Fengtian province.
1918 - He controlled the other two province of Manchuria.
1926 - He occupied Beijing, known as the Tiger of Manchuria.
1928 - Expelled from the city by the Kuomintang’s northern expedition.
1928 - Zhang died as a result of a bomb attack on his train by Japanese officers possibly hoping to provoke Japanese occupation on Manchuria.
