1815 - Yershov was born in Tobolsk on March 6, 1815.
1827-1831 - Studied in Tobolsk gymnasium, where he created a society for the Ethnographic study of Siberia.
1831-1836 - Studied philosophy at Saint Petersburg University. While studying, he wrote his masterpiece, a fairy tale, The Humpbacked Horse. Yershov returned to Tobolsk. In the year 1834, just after the success of The Humpbacked Horse his father and brother died. He was able to published many lyrical verses, written a drama and short stories.
1869 - Yershov died in Tobolsk on August 30, 1869.
